Waste and recycling service performance
We set standards so that our customers know what level of service they should expect from us. These are regularly reviewed taking into account our customers' views, corporate priorities, changes to legislation and performance in previous years.
How we met our service standards in July 2008
Abandoned vehicles
84 suspected abandoned vehicles were inspected. 90% of them were inspected within one working day and 6 were removed.
Surrendered vehicles
14 applications were received. 100% were removed within our standard of three working days from receiving the completed forms.
Fly posting
We removed 24 fly poster boards.
Graffiti removal
- 107 incidents of graffiti on private property which we were given permission to remove, were done within our standard of five working days.
- 6 incidents of offensive/racist graffiti were removed within our standard of 24 hours.
- 107 incidents of non-offensive graffiti were removed in this period.
Special collections (and bulky items)
We received 639 applications for special collections.
Fridge and freezer disposal collections
We received 137 applications to remove fridges/freezers.
Black Box and Canvas Sack collections
We collected 99.84% of these collections on the correct day.
Blue Bag and Food collections
We collected 99.86% of these collections on the correct day.
Garden Waste collections
We collected 99.24% of these collections on the correct day.
Household Waste collections
We collected 99.9% of domestic bins on the correct day.
