Street Scene service performance February 2010

We set standards and report on our performance so that our customers know what level of service they should expect to receive from us. These are regularly reviewed taking into account our customers' views, corporate priorities, changes to legislation and performance in previous years.

Street Scene Enforcement

Abandoned vehicles

59 suspected abandoned vehicles were inspected. 97% of them were inspected within one working day and 4 were removed.

Surrendered vehicles

3 applications were received. 100% were removed within our standard of three working days from receiving the completed forms

Fly posting

We dealt with 15 flyposter reports and removed 52 fly poster boards.

Graffiti

Graffiti removal

113 incidents of graffiti on private property which we were given permission to remove, were done within our standard of five working days.

There were no incidents of offensive/racist graffiti reported

58 incidents of non-offensive graffiti were removed in this period.

Waste and Recycling

Special collections (and bulky items)

We received 357 applications for special collections.

Fridge and freezer disposal collections

We received 74 applications to remove fridges/freezers.

Black Box collections

We collected 99.97% of these collections on the correct day.

Blue Box and Food collections

We collected 99.93% of these collections on the correct day.

Garden Waste collections

We collected 99.63% of these collections on the correct day.

Household Waste collections

We collected 99.92% of domestic bins on the correct day.
