Democratic Services are responsible for all the meetings via which the authority conducts its business. These include:

There are quasi-judicial bodies such as Education Appeals Panels and we also cover the Area Consultation Meetings which are held locally twice a year (during spring and autumn).

Full details on meeting dates, Committee Chairs and memberships, copies of agendas and minutes, are available Democratic processes, events and information pages.

We also provide a Members’ Support function. This includes running the Mayor's Office and organising civic and ceremonial events.

Democratic Services also provide a secretariat service to the RFU Council and Joint Commissioning Boards (for services provided by the NHS and Social Services).
