Local businesses are being invited to an information fair that brings together some of the borough’s biggest attractions, to see how local tourism partnerships can be strengthened.
Hampton Court and Kew Gardens will be among the attendees providing advice and information at the ‘Destination Richmond’ event, run by Richmond Council, on 22 October at the Richmond Hill Hotel.
Leader of Richmond Council, Cllr Serge Lourie, who will be opening the event said:
“We are privileged to have some of the UK’s leading tourist attractions here in the borough and it is important that other local businesses and organisations benefit from the crowds they draw in.
“The event is a good opportunity to consider opportunities for partnership working, with a range of sporting venues, hotels and local businesses in attendance. It will be particularly useful for businesses looking to get the most out of the lead up to Christmas, and a good chance to exchange ideas.”
Among the other organisations appearing are: The RFU, London Wetland Centre, Richmond Visitor Information Centre and local theatres and hotels.
The event is open to any local individuals, organisations or businesses involved in the tourist industry.
It runs from 10am until 4pm and entry is free.
