Your vote could help Orleans House Gallery win the £100,000 Art Fund prize
Orleans House Gallery has been shortlisted for the Art Fund Prize 2009, the UK’s largest single arts prize, and residents are being urged to boost the gallery’s bid by voting in an online poll.
The winner of the People’s Choice will count as one vote when the panel of seven judges make their final decision on Thursday 18 June.
Votes and comments of support can be registered at the Guardian website.
Orleans House is competing against three other museums and galleries for the £100,000 Prize. The others being; Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow, Ruthin Craft Centre in Denbighshire and Wedgwood Museum.

Each year the Art Fund Prize awards a single prize of £100,000 to a museum or gallery in the UK that, in the opinion of the judges, best meets the Prize criteria through a project completed or undertaken in the previous calendar year.
The judges have praised the renovation and restoration of Orleans House Gallery, considering it an example of impressive achievement on a modest budget and commended the imagination and genuine passion of the Gallery’s team.
