Release Date: 05/05/2009
Information on crime prevention, air pollution and Heathrow, and how to make your life more sustainable and eco-friendly will all be available at this year’s Richmond May Fair.
The Council’s sustainability and recycling teams will be giving out details of how families can green their homes, while officers from Operation Lockout, the partnership between the Police and the Council, will give out crime prevention advice and information about how to make your home more burglar proof. They will also be able to security mark bikes which visitors bring on the day.
Members of the aircraft noise team will have maps to show proposed new flightpaths over the borough and charts to show how levels of air quality have changed over time.
The fair takes place this Saturday, May 9, on Richmond Green from 10am - 4pm and is filled with entertainers, charity stalls and others selling bric-a-brac, crafts, cakes and homemade treats.
