Have your say as Council extends prepaid cards consultation

Local service users, voluntary sector partners and carers will have more time to ‘have their say’ about the proposal to use prepaid cards for monthly direct payments, as Richmond Council has extended the consultation period by a further three weeks.

The consultation will now be open until Friday 20 July. Residents can fill in an online form, request a form by post, or attend a briefing taking place in York House on Thursday 5 July.

Cllr Nicola Urquhart, Cabinet Member for Adults Services, Health and Housing said, “From the initial briefings we realised that residents needed more time to understand this potential change in receiving payments and therefore we are extending the consultation period. I would like to encourage residents to attend the briefing at York House on 5 July as officers will be available to answer your questions.”

Residents are invited to join a briefing on Thursday 5 July at 9.30am - 11.30am in the Hyde Room in York House, Twickenham.
