Works complete at Teddington Pools and Fitness Centre

Dust off your running shoes and dig out your swimming costume - refurbishment works at Teddington Pools and Fitness Centre are now complete.

Thanks to an investment of £230,000 by Richmond Council the wet and dry changing rooms have been transformed with new tiling, paint work, lockers and benches as well as improvements to ventilation and the ceilings.

Walls and windows around the centre have also been upgraded making it easier to regulate the temperature and improve energy efficiency.

Cllr Pamela Fleming, Strategic Cabinet Member for Community, Business and Culture on Richmond Council, said: “The refurbishment is welcome news for its members and anyone interested in looking to improve their health and fitness.

“I hope residents will check out the newly upgraded facilities at the centre. With the Olympics coming to London in July the brand new facilities should inspire people to make the effort to improve their fitness activities.

“I would also encourage residents with injuries to try the hydrotherapy pool, it’s a wonderful asset and one of a kind in London in that it can be accessed by the public without a referral”.
