The Riverside Gallery in Richmond is now under ‘Robo-Attack’ with a new comic book style art exhibition.
Jem Panufnik a Twickenham born record producer, DJ and film maker will be exhibiting his most iconic artwork, alongside rarely seen original drawings and screen prints.
Panufnik is at the cutting edge of underground art culture; his stunning visual creations have adorned countless record covers, t-shirts, posters and flyers, since the nineties.
Until 14 January his Riverside ‘Robo-Attack’ exhibition will pay homage to B-movie posters with striking images of rocket ships, aliens and robots attacking recognisable settings including Richmond Town Centre.
Cllr Pamela Fleming, Richmond Council Cabinet Member for Community, Business and Culture, said:
“Jem Panufnik is a very talented and unique local artist whose graphic style is very memorable and engaging. This exhibition promises to surprise and delight and I encourage residents and fans of graphic art in particular to pay this exhibition a visit.”
The exhibition runs until 14 January 2012 and is free. His work is also available to buy and pieces range in price from £30 to £1,400. For more information, go to our art page here.
