Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is a comprehensive assessment of the health and well-being needs of the population of Richmond upon Thames. It is jointly produced by the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and the NHS Richmond, and its purpose is:
- To describe the current and future health care & well-being needs of the population of Richmond, including identifying health inequalities
- To identify issues raised by these needs and their influences for the future
- The JSNA informs and drives the strategic planning and commissioning processes of the Council, and our Local Strategic Partnership (LSP). It is influential in shaping some of the wider social, environmental and economic factors that determine people’s health by influencing long term strategies and the Local Area Agreement. This document is an ongoing process which will be built on and grow to continue to inform borough commissioning and planning cycles over time.
