Partnership working is the key!

Community Development work by no means stops with the immediate network of the Community Development team, as there are a number of partnerships that work on improving the 5 areas.

Working Together Groups (WTGs)

WTGs are being established in each area, with the aim of working closely with the residents and key partners on a range of issues that matter to their local neighbourhood. Each WTG produces its own newsletter for residents, keeping them up to date with what is happening in their area.

Children's Centres

Children's Centres have been established in each of the 5 areas to provide services to children and families.

Youth Networks

Youth Networks are in the process of being established.

Richmond Housing Partnership (RHP)

RHP is the council's main partner in Community Development work in the 5 areas. They have identified Community Development as a vital element of the service they provide.
