Richmond Upon Thames Registration Service
The Nationality Checking Service (NCAS) is a partnership between the Home Office UK Border Agency and local councils in England and Wales. This partnership allows those people applying for British citizenship to make their applications, in person, at their local council offices.
Richmond Registration Service offers this optional service to help simplify the citizenship application process, for a small fee.

Application forms can be obtained from the register office. Once completed, these will be checked for accuracy and that all relevant sections are completed. All supporting documents will be checked and certified so that you may keep the originals. Please note that we must see the original documents and not photocopies. All applications will then be forwarded to the Home Office by special delivery post.
The Nationality Checking Service offered by Richmond Registration Service is optional and you may use other agents such as solicitors or deal with the Home Office directly. There are a number of Councils throughout England and Wales offering this service and you can find a list of all participating authorities on the Office of the Immigration Service Commissioner (OISC) website.

Richmond Registration Service cannot offer advice on nationality matters. Should you require advice you can telephone the Nationality call centre on 0845 010 5200. Lines are open from 9.00 until 21.00 Monday to Friday. More information is available at the UK Border Agency website.
Contact Registration Services
Our opening hours from 9:00am to 12:00 noon and 1:30pm to 4:00pm Monday to Friday. We are closed on Wednesday afternoons. The Registration Office is on the first floor, which is only accessible by a staircase.
