Valuing diversity and promoting equality

We aim to be a borough which values the diversity of all its communities and enables all its residents to become full and active citizens, to feel safe, included, respected, valued and share a sense of belonging.

Equality Governance:

The Council has both internal and external governance structures in place to help develop, review, implement and mainstream its equality and diversity work. These include the following groups. The work of these groups can be found in the Council’s self assessment reports for level 3 and 4 of the Equality Standard for Local Government.
