Memorial Services

Memorial services take place twice a year in the chapels within the borough cemeteries. Please contact the Cemetery Office if you would like to take part in any of the services, for example by reading a poem, singing, or playing an instrument.

Winter Memorial Services 2009

Services took place on Sunday 6 December 2009 at Teddington and Twickenham Cemetery Chapels with Reverend Russell Bates.

On Sunday 13 December at the East Sheen Cemetery Chapel a service for babies and children, and then a service for adults was held, with Peter McNulty taking both services.

All services were very well attended. Teddington and East Sheen had over 120 visitors, with about 48 people going to the service at Twickenham. Approximately 22 parents were at the service for babies and children.

Following the service for babies and children, the families were able to release white doves, which were kindly donated by a local Funeral Director, T.H.Sanders & Sons of East Sheen.

Collections at the end of each service are sent to the charities supported by our services, which are currently SANDS, Princess Alice Hospice and the Shooting Star Trust.
