Help for housebound people

Help is available for giving notice of Marriage/Civil Partnership for housebound people. This means that the notice can be given at the place at which one of the couple is housebound.

If your Doctor states that, in their opinion, you should not be moved because of disability or illness for at least three months you can:

• Provide a Doctor's statement no more than 14 days before you give notice. This form will be sent to you by the Register Office.
• Register your Marriage/Civil Partnership within three months.
