Park

As the summer draws to a close Richmond Council is looking back at year of high achievement for its park service and forward to how it can make its green spaces even better and more popular.

People working and living in the borough can now sign up to CommunitySafe, a new London-wide website that provides real-time information on critical incidents direct to mobile phones and email.

A family festival promoting greener transport is being taken right to the heart of the community by this month.

Changes to recycling services

The Council is proposing to make a change to the recycling service from October 2008. Following customer feedback we want to improve the service, making it more efficient and simpler for everyone. All households (except those in blocks of flats or flats above shops) will be given a new blue box for mixed paper and card. Other recyclable materials will continue to be collected from the black box. No change will be made to collection days. For more details follow this link.

The south bound lane of Hill Street in the Richmond Town Centre will be closed from 7pm Monday 1 September 2008 until 1 November 2008 to allow for footway and kerb replacement works as part of the Richmond Town Centre project.
