Transport planning

The Council are the Highway Authority for the majority of the roads within the Borough of Richmond upon Thames, except for the A316 and A205 that are part of the Transport for London Road Network, and so are the responsibility of the Street Management Section of Transport for London (TfL).

The Transport Planning Team undertake the planning and design of transport measures within the Borough. This includes parking, cycling, public transport infrastructure improvements, and the design of traffic signals and pedestrian crossings

Public notices

Public notices are used to advertise certain planned actions by the Council.

Some examples within Transport Planning would be the installation or removal of yellow lines, parking places and disabled bays, changes to bus lanes, parking charges, and temporary road restrictions.
