Burial

There are five cemeteries in the London Borough of Richmond: East Sheen and Richmond, Hampton, Old Mortlake, Teddington and Twickenham.

You are welcome to contact the Cemeteries Team and we will show you the different types of graves available within each cemetery. We will be able to show you all the available options and explain if there are specific regulations that apply to certain areas.

The cemetery records are available to be viewed in the Cemetery office by appointment. However, if your enquiry is to find the grave of a relative, you may wish to use the on-line search facility, the burial registers search.

On this page, you can enter, for example, the surname only. You can then make your selection by the first name or any other detail you may have for that person. By clicking on the person's name, you will be shown a small amount of further information, such as age and burial date. By clicking on the grave reference shown, you will see names of any other burials that have taken place in that grave.

At this point, you can purchase a map which will show you precisely where the grave is located within the section. Each map costs £2 which is paid by purchasing credits.
