Energy workshops

By 2020, the Government would like all schools to be models of energy efficiency and renewable energy use. They should take the lead in their communities by showcasing zero carbon sources of energy, low-energy equipment, and conserving behaviours. Energy is one of the eight doorways of the National Framework for Sustainable Schools and the Council has a dedicated energy and water management support programme for schools

To help schools learn more about effective energy management, energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and how to reduce fuel costs, Richmond Council, in partnership with the Carbon Trust, organised a series of half-day workshops for bursars, governors and premises staff.

  • 24 September 2008 (Curriculum and Training Centre, Clifden Road, Twickenham), Bursars
  • 4 November 2008 (Council Chamber, York House, Twickenham), Governors
