Energy saving drama workshops

As part of Energy Saving Week 2008, drama students from St Mary’s University College, Twickenham facilitated a number of energy saving themed workshops. The hour-long workshops complemented other energy efficiency awareness activities already taking place in schools by adding another interactive element.

Pupils started with some warm up games, thinking about how they can save energy and why it is important. A story was then built around these ideas culminating in the children creating their own performances. Some groups went on to share their learning by performing in front of their whole schools in assembly.
