Energy certificate

All schools have been issued with Display Energy Certificates (DECs) to display in a prominent place. The certificate shows how each school’s energy use performs against a benchmark, similar to the energy label found on fridges and freezers. Ratings range from A (good) to G (bad) based on actual annual energy consumption of buildings. DECs are required for all public buildings over 1000m^2. Schools have also been issued with an Advisory Report for buildings over 1000m² outlining suitable energy saving measures to help you improve your DEC score. For further advice and help with implementing these measures, please contact the Sustainability Unit.
