Posters on the highway

If you want to advertise an event from a Summer Fair to an Educational event, a Fundraising Concert to an Antiques Fair, coffee mornings and sponsored bike rides, you need to know that in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames posters are restricted to events of a Charitable, Cultural, Educational, Social or Religious nature provided they not carried out for commercial purposes.

Before a poster can be displayed permission is needed from the Council. We will provide you with authorised sign stickers to affix to each poster, which can only be erected on street lighting columns. The posters must be removed within three days of the event finishing.
