Grants, discounts and financial help with keeping warm
There is financial help available if you are planning to make energy saving improvements to your home.
Coldbusters
If you receive certain means tested or disability benefits, or you are aged 60 or over on a low income, you may be eligible for a Coldbusters Grant.
This is a locally funded grant for homeowners and private tenants which provides: central heating, new boilers, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, heating improvements and draught-proofing. Please see the Coldbusters leaflet

The Green Deal
The Green Deal is a new initiative to remove the upfront cost of making energy efficiency improvements in your home to reduce your bills. Up to 45 different energy saving measures are covered by the scheme and you can be repaid through the predicted savings you make on your utility bills. See the Green Deal page for more information.
