Richmond Domestic Abuse Forum and Operations Group

Richmond Domestic Abuse Forum

T
he Domestic Abuse Forum (DAF) was established in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames 14 years ago. The purpose of the Forum is to raise awareness of domestic abuse, it's prevalence and it's affect on women, children and men. The Forum achieves this by working in partnership with a wide variety of agencies.

The Domestic Abuse Operations Group (DAOG) aims to improve domestic abuse services in the borough by performing an oversight and scrutiny role with a specific remit to manage the performance of the MARAC and monitor all aspects of service delivery. The Group focuses its attention on:

  1. Service plans, actions and developments aimed at addressing the effects and impact of domestic abuse on children, young people and adult survivors of domestic abuse.
  2. Improving the awareness and availability of domestic abuse services on the borough and increasing awareness amongst professionals and the public of the MARAC.

The Forum meets every quarter, see meeting dates for 2013-14(pdf, 47KB) (the list also includes MARAC, DAOG and HCF meeting dates). For more information, or to be included on the mailing list, contact the Domestic Abuse Coordinator.
