Fire safety at home
Home Fire Risk Assessment Teams are on call now to offer free home checks, free fitted smoke alarms and advice on fire safety to anyone who might be at risk.
Often victims of home fire fatalities are known to local social care, housing and other agencies. Home Fire Risk Assessment Teams work in the home with older people and people with disabilities to discuss the risks of fire and to look for any visible warning signs. They also work with carers to ensure that they have the relevant knowledge and skills to get themselves and the person they care for out safely in the event of a fire.
To book a free home safety visit from the London Fire Brigade, call the Richmond fire safety centre on 020 8555 1200 extension 37369 or fill in the online request form. The website also includes a wide range of fire-related advice that could save your life.
