How much will I pay for my short stay care or my respite care?

If you're assessed by Richmond Council as eligible to receive services, the following apply:

Short Term Care

Short term care is care that you need yourself.

If you have savings over £23,250, you will have to pay for your care

If you have savings under £23,250, you will probably have to pay a contribution towards the cost of your care

Respite Care

Respite Care gives your carer a break.

If you have savings over £35,000 you will have to pay for the care.

If you have savings below £35,000, you may have to pay a contribution towards the cost of your care.

If you also receive other services, your contribution towards the cost of your Respite Care will be covered by the contribution that you make towards your Personal Budget when you receive Self Directed Support.
