Where to put your rubbish and recycling and out for collection
House or house converted into flats leading directly onto the pavement (public highway)
If you do not have storage space at the front of your property, place your rubbish in tied, black refuse sacks directly outside your address, no earlier than 8pm the night before. Please take care to ensure it does not cause an obstruction to pedestrians - including wheelchair users, pushchairs and people with sight impairments.
Recycling containers cannot be placed on the public highway as they cause an obstruction. Check if your property is eligible for a kerbside recycling collection.
A house or a house converted to flats with a private area at the front of the dwelling
Houses and flats of up to seven units, please ensure your recycling is left out for collection by 6am on the day of collection. It needs to be placed at the front boundary of your property so it is clearly visible from the road and does not cause an obstruction.
Rubbish is to be presented for collection by 6am on the day of collection. Your rubbish must be in tied black refuse sacks preferably in a dustbin (to protect from animals) in your front garden/drive.
