2009/2010

Adult Social Care is assessed each year by the Care Quality Commission. In 2009/2010 performance was assessed against outcomes (as in 08/09) and the council received a rating of Performing Well in the delivery outcomes.

Since 2007/2008 the council has improved in the delivery of outcomes.

Performance indicator information comparing Richmond against our comparator group has been published by the NHS Information Centre. The report shows Richmond is the best performing authority in 5 of the 12 indicators.

2008/2009

There was no star rating in 08/09 and performance was assessed against outcomes. The council received a rating of Performing Well in the delivery of outcomes.

2007/2008

The council achieved a two star rating (out of 3 stars) in 2007/08.

The Annual Complaints Report for Adult and Social Care is also presented to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

Inspections

The last inspection undertaken by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (now part of the Care Quality Commission), took place in January 2008.

This Inspection of Independence, Wellbeing and Choice focused on Adult Safeguarding and Personalised Services for Older People. The findings of the inspection are outlined in the Inspection Report.
