Dance

How we work

Our annual programme of dance features vibrant performances, engaging courses and dance residencies for all ages and abilities.

Delivered in partnership with a range of dance providers, we aim to increase opportunities for everyone to get dancing, and to inspire anyone wishing to further their experience of dance!

Events

We hold a series of dance events every year.

East Twickenham WW1 Dance Event

'Memories Flow Through Me Like A Boat Flows Down The River' took place on Saturday 22 July 2017, bringing to life a remarkable piece of local history through a pop-up dance theatre performance. Award-winning choreographer, Jennifer Irons, worked alongside students from Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and Roehampton University, to create a unique celebration of the Belgian refugees who formed the 'Belgian Village on the Thames' during the First World War.

A short film documenting the dance, and the fascinating history behind it, will be finished in September.
