To approve the minutes of the meeting held on 29 September 2009 (attached) and 26 January 2010 to be tabled at the meeting.

The Minutes of the meetings held on 29 September 2009 and 26 January 2010 be received and approved and the Chairman authorised to sign them. 

Members requested that in future the application form should require salary information and the Chief Executive agreed to ensure this was actioned.

To decide, having regard to the particular nature of the business to be transacted, whether or not to exclude the Press and Public during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it is likely to disclose exempt information by virtue of paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972.

Category 1 as defined in Access to Information Procedure Rule 10.4.

To proceed with interviews and, if appropriate, make an appointment.

In accordance with powers delegated by the Council to the Committee to take all necessary action to secure the appointment of a suitable candidate to the post of Head of Democratic Services, an offer of appointment was made to Miss Kathryn Thomas.
