Taking care of business with free support workshops

Release Date: 01 November 2017

A series of workshops to help boost your business skills in time for the busy Christmas trading period are being run in November and December.

The programme includes a workshop on how to make better use of social media in your marketing mix, a session on employment law and human resources to help improve productivity and ensure you are compliant with UK law, and a session on getting ready for the particular challenges of the holiday season including being aware of scams, protecting your business from crime and updates on counter terrorism measures.

Independent businesses are invited to register for the free sessions being run by the Council in partnership with Business Support firm, Branduin and HR firm, Avensure.

Thanks to Council support, most sessions are free or low-cost for attendees. Sessions promise to be popular so you will need to book ahead of time.
