The Cultural Partnership Strategy has been developed in collaboration with a wide range of cultural organisations in the borough to provide a framework for arts, culture and sport in Richmond upon Thames over the next four years.
From 2015 onwards, the new strategy will bring together the energy, creativity and resources of the individuals and organisations involved in these services, guided by three key goals.
We are committed to increasing levels of cultural involvement, and particularly ensuring that participation in all its forms reflects the full diversity of the borough.
The cultural sector does not stand still, and we will develop the services on offer to match this by creating new and innovative opportunities that truly reflect the talent and resources available.
We will embed culture at the heart of our communities through the use of public spaces and the Village Planning programme, increasing our sense of community and amplifying the reputation of Richmond upon Thames as a nationwide cultural hub.
The strategy will be delivered by the Cultural Partnership, monitored annually by a steering group.
The outcomes of the Cultural Partnership Strategy 2015-2019 will be disseminated in a special meeting of the Partnership which will be held to discuss what has been achieved and evaluate the progress that has been made.
The Cultural Partnership reports to the Richmond Partnership, and through all of its contributing organisations, is accountable for the successful delivery of this exciting, ambitious plan for culture in Richmond upon Thames.
The Cultural Partnership brings together the cultural sector in Richmond upon Thames.
