Community Safety Partnership

The Richmond upon Thames Community Safety Partnership (CSP) was formed in 1998 in response to the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

How it started

The Act gave local authorities the responsibility to formulate and implement a strategy to reduce crime and disorder in their area. Since then we have worked in partnership with local police, probation, health authority, social landlords, voluntary sector, local residents and businesses under the umbrella of the CSP (originally known as the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership).

Membership and strategy

The CSP is made up of the following partners:

The CSP has a Strategy Group made up of senior officers from each of the partners, which meets on a quarterly basis, to review and monitor the performance of the Partnership against the Community Safety Partnership Plan 2014-17 (year three)(pdf, 643KB).

The Plan is based on the results of the Strategic Intelligence Assessment 2015-16(pdf, 316KB).
