We will be collecting real Christmas trees from households between Monday 5 January and Friday 16 January 2015.
You should leave your tree out on the same day we collect garden waste from your road. You do not require a garden waste contract to have your tree collected.
If you live in a block of flats we encourage you to take your Christmas tree to one of the drop-off points listed on this page. If this is not possible we will collect trees left in your communal waste area.
Search for your collection day. We will collect your Christmas tree on the same day as your next Garden Waste collection, although you do not need to have a garden waste contract for this service.
If you miss your garden waste recycling day, you can also take your tree to one the drop-off points listed below.
You can still leave your Christmas tree out to be collected on the relevant day after 16 January 2015. It will be collected but may not be recycled.
Real Christmas trees collected for recycling go with the general green garden waste to Oxford to be composted in windrows.
As an alternative, you can take your tree to a drop off point at:
* No commercial use - residents only.
If you buy a tree that has been grown in a container or potted with its roots intact, plant it in your garden after Christmas. Alternatively, transfer it into a bigger pot so the roots have room to grow and use it again next year.
If you no longer want your artificial tree please consider extending its life by donating it to a local group or charity shop.
