Keep busy this summer
Youth centres across the borough are set to become a hive of activity during the holidays with a packed summer programme.
Four of the Council’s youth centres will open their doors for activities such as film making, ‘Come Dine with Me’ cooking sessions, beauty photo shoots and army assault course training. Special away days for the borough’s youngsters have also been organised with a trip to Brighton, a day of wake boarding, an activity holiday to Dorset and much more.
Councillor Christine Percival, Strategic Cabinet Member for Education, Youth and Children’s Services said:
“These free activities will give young people in the borough something fun and different to do for the summer. You can have a go on anything from an army assault course to beauty workshops, so there’s something for everyone. I encourage every young resident in the borough to check out what’s on and have fun this summer.”
Summer activities will take place at Heatham House, Hampton Youth Project, Ham Youth Centre and Powerstation Youth Centre, Mortlake. For more information visit www.richmond.gov.uk/youthclubs.
