Go green at home

Richmond Council is committed to helping you save money on your household energy bills, reduce your environmental impact while maintaining Richmond as a pleasant place to live, study and visit. Residents of Richmond Borough have one of the highest carbon footprints in London and correspondingly spend high amounts on your energy bills. The Energy Saving Trust states that the average household currently wastes up to £300 per year on their energy bills, which could be reduced through energy saving measures.

We have been delivering a number of successful programmes to do just that, including:

Our Low Carbon Zones programme in Ham and Petersham, saw more than 1,000 residents team up to achieve an annual saving of over £120,000 through the installation of a range of energy savings devices.
