Museums at night

Come and explore the gallery after dark! A rare opportunity to enjoy the gallery and the historical site under moonlight. To celebrate Museums at Night 2012, we are extending our hours and offering a free event. Visit us for a late night viewing of exhibitions and a special performance. The North Stables cafe will be open and offering a selection of delicious suppers. Why not enjoy an artful evening at the gallery?

  • Royal Connections: Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund this exhibition explores the local area's royal connections through history, bringing together historic artworks and artefacts with more recent reminiscences and memorabilia to create a celebration of all things royal in Richmond.
  • Art & Soul: Colour Burst! Art & Soul celebrates mental and emotional wellbeing through the visual arts, poetry and sculpture. This year, the exhibition's theme is Colour Burst, and is bolder and brighter than ever, with over 200 artworks from artists across South West London.
  • Royal Connections Performance: The history of Orleans House Gallery and grounds wll be re-invented and re-imagined in a site specific performance by dance theatre company, Needlefoot, working with students from Hampton Academy and apprentice professional dancers.

Expect the grounds of Orleans House to be brought to life as students re-interpret the royal history of the site.
