Heathrow Airport Consultative Committee (HACC)

BAA are legally required to hold consultative committee meetings for authorities and other stakeholders around Heathrow. Richmond is invited to send an elected Member to these meetings.

2M Group

The 2M Group is an all-party alliance of local authorities concerned about the environmental impact of Heathrow operations on their communities. The group, which took its name from the 2 million residents of the original 12 authorities, now represents a combined population of 5 million people.

Strategic Aviation Special Interest Group (SASIG)

SASIG is a group of around 50 local authorities from across the country, all with an interest in strategic aviation issues. SASIG seeks to ensure that any national aviation strategy for the UK is implemented through regional planning guidance and other planning processes so as to reconcile economic, social and environmental issues in a sustainable way.

Local Authority Aircraft Noise Council (LAANC)

LAANC was founded in the 1960s as an umbrella local authority organisation representing the interests of residents around Heathrow. The objectives of LAANC are to examine all problems arising from the nuisance of aircraft, both in-flight and on the ground.

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)

The Civil Aviation Authority is the UK's specialist aviation regulator.

HACAN Clearskies

HACAN ClearSkies is the largest voluntary organisation in Europe dedicated to campaign on behalf of those who suffer because of aircraft.

The Richmond Heathrow Campaign

The Richmond Heathrow Campaign is a joint initiative of The Richmond Society, Friends of Richmond Green and The Kew Society, whose aim is to combat Heathrow expansion and its effect on Richmond Town, Richmond Hill and Kew.

Airport watch is an umbrella organisation opposed to unsustainable aviation expansion.
