What you think of our services
Your views on our services are the most important judgement we receive as a Council. That is why there are a number of different ways for you to let us know your views and contribute to shaping future services.
These pages detail how you can have your say and get involved in the community.
All in One survey
In 2010 the Council sent the All in One Survey to all households, inviting residents to identify what they liked best about their local area, what is important in making it a good place to live and what needs improving. Over 13,500 people responded, and following this the Council ran a series of village planning events, giving residents the opportunity to hear the results of the survey and have their say on how their local area could be improved further.
The response to both the survey and the village planning events was very positive, highlighting the extent to which local people are committed to their local area and wish to express their views about how things are run. The results have provided the Council valuable insight into local priorities and ways to work with local people to shape how we deliver services in the future.
Annual Residents’ Survey
In 2012 the Council commissioned an independent research agency to conduct a telephone survey to find out how residents feel about their local area, the Council and the services they receive.
The survey followed on from the All in One survey and the results will be used to inform the decisions the Council makes on setting priorities, delivering services and communicating with residents.
The Residents’ Survey will be conducted annually and is next due to be conducted in Autumn 2013.
