Quarterly performance reporting
Quarterly reports present updates on the delivery of the Council’s priorities, as set out in the Corporate Plan, and provide Elected Members and residents with assurance that services are being delivered effectively and efficiently.
Within the reports, key performance indicators and programmes/projects are grouped under each Corporate Priority to give an overview of current progress. Some of the indicators are former National Indicators, which continue to provide useful measures, while others are local, including value for money indicators. Targets have been set as part of the council’s service planning process. The programmes/projects reported include the Council’s key strategic initiatives.
Performance against targets and milestones is rated using a "RAG" (Red, Amber, and Green) status system. This uses ‘traffic lights’ where Red identifies areas that are off track, Amber where performance is currently off track but likely to meet the annual target, and Green where performance in on target. Comments are included for indicators and programmes/projects rated as Red or Amber to explain actions being taken to deliver improved performance.
