What's available?
A wide range of free drug and alcohol services provide advice, information, treatment and aftercare to residents needing support and to those who are worried about them. They offer a range of confidential treatment options, including advice, assessment and counselling.
How can I use the services?
The services and treatments are for borough residents and are voluntary and free. You can obtain a referral from your GP or other health or social care professional. You can also refer yourself but you will need to make an appointment by phone for most services. Drop-in services are also available.

Hampton Wick and North Road Surgeries
These GP practices have specialist nurses and provide treatment for problematic drug and/or alcohol use.

KCA Richmond
KCA Richmond offers free counselling to people whose lives are affected by drugs and/or alcohol. The service provides short term, focused and specialist counselling in a safe, friendly and confidential setting. It offers help to find solutions that are practical, realistic and achievable, as well as counselling for couples and families who are affected.

REACH Structured Day Programme
The REACH Structured Day Programme lasts for 12 weeks and provides intensive treatment for people with drug and/or alcohol issues. It consists of weekly group work, one-to-one sessions and helps to access other therapies such as activity sessions, life skills, education, training and employment.

Richmond Community Drug and Alcohol Team (CDAT)
Richmond CDAT is a specialist treatment service for people with complex drug and/or alcohol problems. The service is staffed by a team of nurses, social workers and doctors who help to develop individual treatment plans.

Richmond DAIS
Richmond DAIS provides a friendly, confidential, drop-in service for anyone experiencing difficulty with drugs and/or alcohol. Friends and family who are affected can also use the service. You can make an appointment if you prefer.

The SPEAR Team offers services to residents who are homeless or at risk of being made homeless and have drug and/or alcohol problems. It also provides an outreach service for drug and alcohol users. The team can help to access, or remain in, treatment.
