Accessible Transport Unit
The Accessible Transport Unit (ATU) coordinates transport related schemes by providing information, advice and services for residents in the borough with mobility difficulties.
The ATU is responsible for the issue and administration of:
- Freedom Passes for Disabled People (Telephone :020 8831 6312)
- Richmond Voucher Scheme (Telephone: 020 8831 6094)
- Disabled Persons Parking Badge Scheme (Telephone: 020 8831 6096)
- Super Shopper Bus Scheme: (Telephone:020 8831 6097)
- Taxicard scheme (Telephone: 020 8831 6312)
- Blue Badge Scheme (Telephone: 020 8831 6096)
These schemes have to be applied for and assessed under set criteria relevant to each scheme.
Freedom Passes for residents over the age of 60.are now issued by the Post Office. You can get more information on Older Persons Freedom Passes here
