The Young People’s Library Service provides library services to all those in the borough up to the age of sixteen.
- It's free to join!
- Borrow up to 20 items at a time.
- Free use of the internet.
- If your books are late, you won’t have to pay a fine.

Kid's room
Visit our Kid's room to keep up-to-date with books and reading! You'll find homework websites, fun links, and information on our Chatterbooks reading groups.
Teenage room
Our Teenage room features great reading suggestions from Cover Story and The Current, as well as study help, health advice, and up-to-date entertainment, sports and environmental links.
Parents, carers and under 5s' room
Visit our Parents, carers and under 5s' room for details of the Bookstart scheme in Richmond upon Thames, as well as lots of useful internet safety, educational and parenting links.
All of the libraries hold a Storytime for the under-5s once a week. Most of the libraries also hold monthly bounce and rhyme sessions for pre-school children, called Tiny Teddies.
