Clerking for school governing bodies
We are currently looking to add to our pool of Clerks to cover full governing body meetings at schools within the borough as vacancies arise.
Clerks are generally needed for two evening meetings per term and may also be required to clerk occasional committee meetings.
The work involves liaising with the Chair to draw up and circulate the agenda and any related papers, attending the meetings and then preparing the minutes from the meeting.
The role is responsible, requiring good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with confidential issues. Potential clerks need to have good organisation skills and also be proficient using Microsoft Word and sending and receiving documents by email.
If you are interested in becoming a Clerk for a Richmond upon Thames school or would like more information, please contact Lyn Barnes in Governor Support. Lyn can be contacted on 020 8891 7510 or l.barnes@richmond.gov.uk.
