Temporary road closure - to introduce a series of road closures in the vicinity of the level crossing in Manor Road, Richmond
PUBLIC NOTICE - 2012 NO. 1215
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
MANOR ROAD, RICHMOND
20 – 24 May 2012 (overnight periods)
- The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to allow Network Rail to gain access to allow rail plant through the crossing they have made a temporary Order, t the effect of which will be to introduce a series of road closures in the vicinity of the level crossing in Manor Road, Richmond.
- Whilst the works take place no person may permit a vehicle to proceed in Manor Road from its junction with Manor Grove to its junction with Manor Park where relevant signs and/or cones are placed.
- Whilst Manor Road, Richmond is closed, an alternative route for northbound traffic will be Upper Richmond Road West, A205 Clifford Avenue, Lower Richmond Road and . An alternative route for southbound traffic will be as above but in the reverse direction.
- The order will come into effect at midnight on 19 May 2012. The works are anticipated to be in progress for a period of 4 non-consecutive overnight periods between midnight and 5am, ending at 5am on 24 May 2012 according to the timetable below. The order will remain in force for a period of 6 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
- The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
- Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a traffic warden.
- Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
